Physical pain

I still have around 20 pounds of baby weight to lose and I am really committed, that is why I try to go to the gym 3 times/week and I am eating really well these days. Today was one of the gym days, and everything hurts!! Psychologically I feel great after I go as if I am really doing everything I can do, but my poor old body seems to think differently. Still I am not giving up, hopefully by the summer I am close to my target and I will feel myself again. I know I can do it!!!

Looking forward to the week-end

I am so glad it's Friday!!!
Tonight I am thinking dinner,a movie on the couch (probably with Lucas in my arms) and then a healthy good night sleep. For the week-end I am planning some shopping (always healthy in my book), playing with my scrap supplies,enjoying the family and not much more. Hopefully I will stick with this plan!

We are back!

Went to Disneyland and Universal Studios this past week-end. Got back Sunday night, today is Tuesday and I am still tired! It was great and lots of fun, but boy....Alex loves the adrenaline rides, Ryan wants to go on Peter Pan and Dumbo and Lucas can go only on rides that are not too bumpy(because I am holding him in the baby bjorn), so...do you get the idea???? CRAZY!!!

Greg and I were running like crazy people to try to please everyone and even if the grandparents (Nonna and Nonno) were with us, it was still exhausting!!! The weather did not help either, it was cold and rainy most of the time, but now that is all over, I am glad we went (but even happier that we are back!)

The Big 10!!!!

Guess who turned 10????
My big boy Alex! We had a fun day even if the real celebration is going to be our upcoming trip to Disneyland. It was nice to have Nonna and Nonno here as well and they stayed with Ryan and Lucas while Greg and I took Alex to see Nanny McPhee. The movie is good and very entertaining (even if I think a child of Ryan's age could get scared at times!) I still can't believe 10 years are gone by so fast, at times it felt as if they were minutes!

It's called Genetics!

So, I am a scientist, right? I have spent many hours studying Mendel, his theories of inheritance patterns of certain traits in pea plants , etc.. . We know now he didn't get it all right, but come on he did a great job for those times!!
Anyway, even with all my knowledge and understanding, while at a rational level I understand that genetics determines much (but not all) of the appearance of organisms, including humans, when I look at pictures of my two youngst kids, I can't help it...I am still amazed!!!!
I look at them and I can't believe the resemblance, the similarities, to me it is...magic!!!
