Ryan and I made it to Italy and we finally saw Alex again after 1 month. My boy is so grown up!!!
Daddy and Lucas are still home because my chicken Pox baby could not fly on the day we were all supposed to come. We are anxiously waiting for them. They will be here tonight!!
In the meantime we took a walk in Castellina and decided to grab some GELATO, and we had to take a picture to send to daddy because he loves gelato so much and we knew it would entice him to come and join us even more!!!

Chicken Pox update

Chicken Pox anyone?
Can you see that little pimple on the left side of Lucas face? Yes, you guessed right, that is what this post is all about...chicken pox!
When I took this picture I still did not know my baby had chicken pox, it was way too early in the morning, before my tea and cookies, so I guess I was not functioning. Few minutes later, when Greg asked what was that little spot, I looked at it carefully and I got that feeling of ... oh my, this is not good!! I took off his pajamas and there it was in all its beauty (or ugliness, depends on how you look at it), few more blisters on his back that left no doubt.
It is so classic, one starts the day in total peace and then everything changes and there you are trying to reorganize the day, make an appointment with the doctor, get the certainty that he is sick and contagious, so no day care for one week and Greg and I had to reorganize our working schedule, make sure we could handle this unexpected change of plans. At least Lucas doesn't seem to be in any kind of discomfort. Now, 12 hours later, the blisters on his face are 8-10, but he still looks so cute!!!!

Studio Friday: View from Above
"My husband and I went flying this past weekend and I had so much fun taking aerial pictures. Amazing what things you see everyday look like from above. It just got me thinking "what would my desk look like from above?" I have a feeling I would find some inspiration somewhere in there!"
Nowadays my desk is a complete mess, I just keep throwing things on top of it hoping that one day I will find the time to clean up and organize it. But I have realized that one thing is constant, my cup of tea! Even through all the mess, one can always spot my mug (full or empty). It seems to push things around and find its natural space. Those who know my well are completely aware that I am not functional unless there is some tea around me, even my mood changes after I drink some tea and I open up to great attitude and inspiration.

Back home!
We are back safe and sound! We stopped in Newport Beach before getting on the plane yesterday and it was a nice change. Never been there before, very busy in the summer ( maybe a little too much for me) but it has character, it invigorates you. It was hot (nothing like Palm Springs) but pleasant. The only thing is that the traffic around L.A. is horrible. I could not deal with it on a daily base, it would drive me nuts, completely insane!!
Everyone seems very happy to be home and I am very excited to have a couple of days to relax before going back to work. Vacation can be tiring!!!

Palm Springs (in July)
We are nuts! There are no other words to describe us. Who in their sane mind would decide to go to a 115 degrees vacation spot? No many rationale people, that's who!! It is not too bad if we are at the pool or in the apartment, but trying to go out for a walk or dinner....forget about it, it is hot even at midnight! The place is great but way too crowded for my taste, I am more for quiet than caos. Ryan is having a great time until he is exhausted and then.... it is not pretty! Lucas is going with the flow but he is a lot happier in the apartment than outside. Definitely an experience!!
